Healthcare

Healthcare needs reformed or repealed altogether. It clearly isn't working as intended and the majority of Idahoans can't afford it. I would look to put the pressure on the private sector to fulfill this role and to find a different way to fulfill the needs of Idahoans.

Healthcare isn't provided anywhere in the Constitution, nor in the Bill of Rights. However, I foresee those who aren't covered by insurance benefiting from serious healthcare reform. Government needs to get out of the way and allow the free market to fill the void, as it always does. There are alternatives to traditional health insurance like Liberty Health Share and Medi-Share programs. Finding what fits is the key. No one has the same needs as another. Why are we creating a government-sponsored solution for this? Find different ways to solve this problem without taking federal dollars (national debt at $20.9 trillion and counting) and give the people options that fit their needs and budgets. I would not look to expand the Medicaid program whatsoever.
